Second Amendment
As the Founders recognized, the right of the people to keep and bear arms is the first law of natural rights and the surest safeguard against violations of our liberty.
We must defend the Second Amendment just as vigorously as we defend the rest of the United States Constitution. Congress must halt the unconstitutional practice of restricting a person’s ability to purchase, transport, store, or possess arms on public lands or on that individual’s private property under the guise of regulating interstate commerce.
As a U.S. Senator, I will work to repeal current federal gun laws that infringe on our Second Amendment freedoms.
With our gun rights under constant attack from Washington, D.C. and the anti-gun United Nations — as well as the threat of rising crime due to our crashing economy — it’s never been more important that Republicans be 100% committed to defending our God-given right to keep and bear arms.
We need to send people to Washington who not only understand the 2nd amendment, but the entire Bill of Rights. Politicians often give lip service to the 2nd Amendment but then turn around and vote to restrict gun ownership.
How many supposed pro-gun politicians voted for the Patriot Act which gives the government the right to search your home without a warrant, when you’re not home, leave listening devices, and use any and all information to create a prosecution on any charge regardless of their original reason for the search?
Gun rights advocates need to know that the 2nd amendment is only as good as the fourth amendment. If we are not free from unreasonable and warrantless searches, no one’s guns are safe.
The second amendment is very clear. The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
